Since 2006, Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County has been able to provide hardworking families in Johnson County the opportunity to own a simple, decent, affordable home of their own. It is our belief that everyone deserves an affordable, decent, and safe place to live in dignity. Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County offers a hand-up, not a hand-out, to Johnson County families with low to moderate incomes by building safe, affordable homes with those families and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County is able to make homeownership a reality by building in partnership with donors, volunteers, churches, and businesses. Without this support, families in our communities would continue to live in substandard housing.

Individual donations are our single largest source of revenue and by becoming a member of our More Than Houses Society; you are providing Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County a reliable financial foundation on which we can build the lives of our new partner family homeowners. Your support helps pay for the materials and tools, supervision and insurance for our countless volunteers, support and education for our partner families, land acquisition, and the day-to-day operations that our affiliate counts on to ensure that we will be able to further the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County of building homes in partnership with those in need.
What is the More Than Houses Society?
Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County’s More Than Houses Society is a giving program that allows you to provide direct and ongoing financial support for Habitat of Humanity Johnson County’s mission of providing affordable homeownership in our communities. By becoming a member of one of the Levels of the More Than Houses Society and by giving your pledge, you allow us to plan our home builds better, provide a predictable and reliable stream of funds, reduce the administrative overhead costs, and give our organization that extra boost that we need to turn blueprints into a family’s dream home.

- Home Realized – $10,000 per year for 3 years/$834 per month
- Dream Realized – $5,000 per year for 3 years/$417 per month
- Dream Builders – $2,500 per year for 3 years/$209 per month
- Golden Hammer – $1,000 per year for 3 years/$84 per month
- Carpenters Club – $500 per year for 3 years/$42 per month
- Doorway to a New Future – $250 per year for 3 years/$21 per month
